FAQ

This section addresses common questions that may arise while integrating Fitle into your website. Below are some frequently asked questions and their answers.

How does the widget affect my website’s performance?

The widget is designed to be lightweight and should not negatively impact your website’s performance. It loads asynchronously, meaning it will not block the loading of other elements on your site.

How can I check which products or returns have been imported?

You can view the imported products in our back-office. Navigate to Catalogue > Imported Products to access a table that lists the products. They are sorted by the date they were updated, with the most recent products appearing first.

Currently, we do not offer a similar table for returns. If you have questions about imported returns, please contact us.

How can I confirm that I have successfully integrated Fitle?

You should see the widget displayed on your site, and events should be tracked in the back-office. For more details, refer to the final step of the integration overview.

The widget is not visible, even though I followed all the steps. What should I do?

Products require an internal validation process before they are ready for recommendations. If you have already been notified that this process is complete, it might be that your domain may not be whitelisted. Please contact us and provide any additional domains you would like to have whitelisted.

Can I integrate Fitle into a mobile app?

Our technology is primarily designed for websites. If your application uses WebView instead of a native implementation, it should work correctly. However, we do not provide a mobile SDK.

Can I use Fitle on a website that is not live yet?

Yes, you can use Fitle on a non-live website, as long as you have shared the domain you are working on with us.

Can I use Fitle on a password-protected website?

Yes, our integration does not require the website to be publicly accessible.

What information is stored in the user’s browser when they interact with the size recommendation button?

We store information using cookies and local storage in the user’s browser. The only information stored as a cookie is an identifier (UUID) that helps us track session-related interactions. This cookie is created when the user clicks on the widget and expires one year after creation. Local storage is used to store information as soon as the page loads and the widget appears on your site. Initially, this includes the same identifier (UUID) and interface preferences like language and measurement units. During the recommendation process, we add data that the user provides, such as age, gender, height, weight, body shape, and preferred brands. This data remains in local storage until the user clears their cache or local storage manually.

What network requests are made automatically from the user’s browser due to the Fitle widget?

We send requests to our servers to log impressions, provide size recommendations, and monitor usage patterns. Requests are also sent when the user interacts with the widget, such as hovering over the button, clicking on it, or filling in the questionnaire. These requests help us track user engagement.

How does Fitle ensure the privacy of user data?

We use HTTPS connections to ensure all data exchanged between the user’s browser and our servers is encrypted. IP addresses are not linked to user data.
